I graduated college not really knowing what I wanted to do as a career. I realized my experience was not unique. I then pursued a master’s in counseling with an emphasis in career counseling at The University of Texas at Austin. I wanted to help other college students avoid my uncertainty upon graduating. I worked in Career Services at TX State and UT Austin until we moved to Middle Tennessee, where I promptly began working at Belmont University’s College of Business as an academic advisor.

Fast forward a few years and after starting our family, I primarily stayed home but continued working part-time at Belmont. Once my boys were school age, I started working more but still at the collegiate level. I ultimately began helping the high school students at my boys’ K-12 school with college and career planning. I established that school’s College Counseling office and was blessed to work there for 8 years. I assisted hundreds of students with their plans and applications for college, gap year or other options. I also helped my own sons with all of their college planning and applications. Now that they are both in college, I decided it was time to start my own college and career planning service for HS students and share my expertise with a wider range of families.

The high school years are a fun and exciting time, yet when students (and parents) consider what they will do upon graduation, there are many questions and things to consider. I enjoy helping students answer those questions and plan for their life after HS, whether that be college or something else.

I live in middle TN with my husband, 3 dogs, many chickens and our boys when they are home from college. We love to spend time as a family outside, serving at our church and riding motorcycles.
